A short list, honestly explained.

Most comparison sites in this category run long lists. Long lists are easy to build and almost impossible to keep accurate, and an out-of-date entry on a gambling site is not a harmless mistake — it can send someone to an operator with no Australian accountability behind it.

So we run a short one. Every operator we list has been matched to a state or territory register, and the record we hold is published on the licence verification page with the date we last checked it. When we have not confirmed a field, we say so rather than filling the gap.

How an operator is assessed

Six checks, run in a fixed order: licence, local payment rails, offer terms in full, support responsiveness, the mobile apps, and the safer-gambling controls. The licence check comes first because failing it ends the process. The other five are scored from our editors' own accounts — we deposit, bet, contact support and withdraw, then write down what happened.

Scores are reviewed each quarter, and after any material change at an operator — a new licence holder, a change of payment provider, or a rewrite of the promotional terms.

How we are paid

Through affiliate commission. We are an affiliate partner of Betfair and are paid when someone opens an account through a link on this site. That is the whole business model, and it means every listing here is advertising and may be shaped by that commercial relationship.

What the commission does not buy is a position on the register. An operator cannot pay to be listed without a matched licence, and no operator sees a review before it is published.

If something on this site is wrong — a lapsed licence, a changed limit, a promotion that no longer exists — send it to us and we will re-check the record and date the change.
